Safety

The protection of health and safety in the workplace has primary importance for Fonderie Palmieri. This effort has been underpinned by the enormous investments made in recent years in plant construction to protect employees.
For Fonderie Palmieri, protecting health in the workplace is not only a legal obligation but also a strategic objective without which it would not be possible to guarantee its customers high-quality products and services. This is only possible through a quiet and safe working environment for the entire workforce.

A team of highly qualified employees constantly follows the training of the employees. The number of training hours is constantly increasing to be prepared for the new challenges of the future.
Health relevant dates are regularly updated and the information resulting from monitoring is continually compared and reviewed to discuss and avoid the various risks.
Our staff and their representatives are actively involved in controlling and monitoring the occupational health and safety management system.

From 2013 to the present day, the number of hours invested in training has quadrupled and the trend continues to rise. The training plan is expanded annually and ranges from special technical training to language courses, communication techniques and occupational medicine.

While the technical training is carried out by external professional teaching staff, there are also well-trained employees in the company who carry out the training of the staff in the line of work of occupational safety and security at the workplace.

Employees undergoing medical surveillance

Fonderie Palmieri has always paid great attention to the health of its workers. The health protocol, drawn up by the competent doctor, defines which are the health checks to which workers must submit and with what periodicity to do so, to protect their state of health.
In 2017, Assofond presented the GUIDELINE DOCUMENT FOR THE RISK ASSESSMENT AND HEALTH SURVEILLANCE IN THE CAST IRON FOUNDRIES: in that occasion, was carried out a verification of the correspondence between the company’s health protocol and what is stated in the guidelines .
All monitoring activities are made inside the company buildings by specialized technicians who work in close collaboration with the competent doctor.
